Yesterday was our last day of shortened summer hours, and it was a busy one. Construction crews were working on a new ramp entrance and other rear doors, so visitors used the kitchen entrance. Signs and volunteers provided assistance. Accessibility has improved, and entry is easier for everyone.

We served 32 households and fed 107 people, including 8 large families.
We received wonderful produce donations such as corn from Shouldice Farms, beans and cucumbers from Lionhearts, and fresh vegetables from Riverside United Church, Holy Cross Church, and the Ritchie family.

Our neighbours were thrilled with the wide selection of fresh food.
The Fun Day at Arnott Park last weekend raised $206.00 for our group and collected two full containers of food donations. Donations from the Revalie student residences provided us with six containers of food.
Starting next week we return to our regular schedule.
There will be a student hour, followed by two shifts for students and community volunteers from 4:30 until 8:00 p.m. Information sheets about our new fall hours were handed out in English, French, and Arabic.
We look forward to another successful season serving our community.
Thank you to everyone who contributed this summer.
