Help Bring Refrigeration to Brookfield Community Food Cupboard

The Brookfield Community Food Cupboard is raising funds to purchase two convertible refrigerator and freezer units.

Thanks to strong community support, only $1,100 remains to reach the goal.

In just two years, the Cupboard has grown into a vital support system, now providing about 840 meals in a single day each week with the help of 125 volunteers.

At the same time, more donations of perishable food are coming in, including fresh produce and baked goods. These items improve meal quality, but during much of the year, more is donated than can be distributed in a day. Without proper storage, some of that food risks going to waste.

That is why the Cupboard plans to purchase two convertible fridge and freezer units, allowing them to adapt based on weekly needs.

Why this matters

  • Preserve and safely store perishable food
  • Reduce food waste
  • Improve the quality and variety of meals
  • Serve more people consistently

The goal is within reach. The final $1,100 will make this happen. Any funds raised beyond that will go directly toward purchasing food.

If you can help, now is the time.
